    Best Time to Visit

Late fall and early Winter, when the humidity fades, the skies clear and temperatures are soothing, but no jacket required.

    What to Pack

Comfy attire. Hong Kong’s are all hustle and bustle, with street hawkers, dust, puddles, and rugged pavements to navigate.

    General Tips

Renowned as the fusion city of East and West thanks to its history as a British colony, Hong Kong is supported hugely by it local government when it comes to arts. Major institutions include the Heritage Museum, Museum of Art and Academy for Performing Arts.

Major events such as The Hong Kong Arts Festival (theater, classical, opera and dance) in February and Art Basel Hong Kong in May are truly world class, while the city has become renowned in cinema for the martial arts films created in the city since the 1960s, making international stars out of Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Maggie Cheung.

The city also spawned Cantopop, a music form mixing Chinese and western music including jazz, R&B and electronic music.
