Hans Ulrich Obrist and Klaus Biesenbach's "13 Rooms," a 13-room exhibition of "living sculptures," is one of the most important and radical art projects to ever be staged in Sydney. It is the 27th major art project to be brought to Australia by patron and art collector John Kaldor of Kaldor Public Art Projects, an organisation renowned for bringing the most exciting art exhibitions to Australian shores.
"13 Rooms" co-curators Hans Ulrich Obrist and Klaus Biesenbach made the trip to Sydney for the exhibition opening and to see the latest incarnation of their groundbreaking concept, which began in 2011 with "11 Rooms." While they were in Sydney I had the rare privilege of interviewing Klaus and Hans Ulrich who were kind enough to take time away from their crazy schedule. Watch the video below to see what they had to say about "13 Rooms."
“13 Rooms” is on at Walsh Bay's Pier 2/3 until April 21. For more information visit the Kaldor Public Art Projects website here.
