Barbie® is officially on the lookout for a new home and has jetted in to Sydney to do some house hunting and to check out the latest fashion trends at the 2013 edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia.

As soon as her private jet hit the tarmac on April 8, Barbie® headed straight to the Fashion Week runway show of Australian label Camilla and Marc whose latest collection Barbie will be wearing while she is in Australia.

Barbie® has been dressed by some of the world’s greatest fashion houses and now Australia’s own Camilla and Marc will now be added to the impressive list which includes Dior, Burberry, and Vera Wang.

“Barbie is a fashion icon, so it’s incredible to see her wearing our designs,” said Camilla Freeman-Topper of Camilla and Marc. “She certainly is an unexpected and fabulous addition to our celebrity clientele! Barbie® has such history with fashion, we feel very privileged to be dressing her.”

In 2013 Camilla and Marc celebrate their 10 year anniversary, commencing with the opening show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia. Camilla and Marc describe their SS13 collection as having been inspired by the layers of the Russian Matryoshka doll, citing parallels between the layered dolls and the brands own layered past.

Another Australian fashion identity, swimwear model and former Miss Universe Australia Rachel Finch, will be Barbie’s tour-guide while she is in Australia, making sure she gets to all the iconic tourist hotspots including the Harbour Bridge and Bondi Beach.

While she is in Australia Barbie® will be viewing a number of potential new homes from a shortlist created in conjunction with her personal realtor Josh Altman. The shortlist includes houses in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
