The world’s greatest restaurant festival, Taste of Sydney, has begun in Sydney’s Centennial Park where for four days from March 14-17 more than 20 of Sydney’s best restaurants including Porteno, Claude’s, Four in Hand, and Three Blue Ducks will present special menus of starter sized dishes for the occasion.

Visitors will have the opportunity to sample more than 60 fantastic dishes from the Taste menu in an unbeatable alfresco gourmet setting.  The dishes have been created by top chefs such as Manu Feildel, Colin Fassnidge, and Peter Kuruvita to specially reflect their philosophy as well as showcase seasonal and premium ingredients.

The highlight of the menu is the range of indulgent Icon Dishes on offer at this year's festival which include Efendy's Deboned roasted Sheep's Head or Muse Restaurant and Cafe's Slow Roasted Rack of Milly Hill Lamb to name a few.

In addition to enjoying the fantastic food on offer, visitors can experience a feast for the senses at the Bertolli Taste Kitchen where top chefs will hold live cooking demonstrations, share the secrets of their favourite dishes, and offer tips and advice to those who are serious about food.

The Dilmah Chef’s Skillery will give visitors will have a chance to get up close and personal with the Taste chefs who will each bring  a unique skill to the table to demonstrate for guests from filleting a fish to honing your knife skills.

Wine lovers will have the opportunity to enjoy some great drops and increase their wine knowledge at the Plumm Wine Theatre while cocktail fans can learn how to become the perfect cocktail party host in the Sensology “Art of Cocktail Making”class.

For those wanting to replicate what they have tasted, over 100 producers will be on hand to provide a bounty of the best food and beverages, ensuring that you can sample and shop for a range of produce in the laid back atmosphere of a boutique food market while soaking up amazing live entertainment.

These are just a few of the amazing events that make Taste of Sydney the must attend event on Sydney’s food and social calendar. For more information and to purchase tickets visit the Taste of Sydney website here.
