The performing arts are an integral part of the strong Australian arts scene. This summer a number of fantastic theatre performances will be held all over Australia ranging from intimate Australian performances to international blockbuster shows. Highlights include “Thursday” by Bryony Lavery, a powerful new collaboration that takes reference from the remarkable story of Adelaide woman Gill Hicks, who lost her legs in the 2005 London bombings; the legendary John Bell of Bell Shakespeare Company will present “Henry 4”, a fantastic adaptation of William Shakespeare's “Henry IV” and “The Secret River” by Kate Grenville will continue to impress audiences in Sydney as part of the 2013 Sydney Festival.
