Leading Australian jewellery design house Jan Logan recently announced Australian-born, Los Angeles-based actress and model Phoebe Tonkin as their new ambassador. Tonkin is best known for her breakout role on the US supernatural drama TV series “The Secret Circle” and her ongoing role in “The Vampire Diaries.” She has also starred in the Australian feature films “Tomorrow, When the War Began,” and “Bait 3D.”

Tonkin’s first project with Jan Logan was the launch of the 2013 Hudson Collection which features a suite of jewellery named after the movie star. The “Phoebe” ring combines the lustrous metallic blues and greens of labradorite with sparkling diamonds in an elegant 18ct white gold setting. A matching set of “Phoebe” earrings completes the ensemble.

The appointment of Tonkin as the new Jan Logan ambassador continues the company’s tradition of featuring up-and-coming Australian actresses in their yearly catalogue campaigns. Previous ambassadors include Inside Film Award winner Caitlin Stasey as well as Rose Byrne, Rachael Taylor, and Teresa Palmer.

Since she founded the company in 1989, Jan Logan has developed a brand that is synonymous with quality, glamour, and cutting edge design. “I hope what sets us apart is our philosophy, which is simple and elegant but with a bohemian edge,” says Logan. “I design with a certain type of woman in mind, a dynamic modern woman who uses jewellery as a daily accessory.”

Over the last twenty years Jan Logan has evolved into an international brand, and it seems only fitting that Logan is now designing jewellery for the stars. Many international actresses including Naomi Watts, Jennifer Lopez, Rose Byrne, and Joan Chen wear Logan’s unique designs. Jan is also a great supporter of Australian fashion design and has contributed to the parades of Australia’s finest designers, including Collette Dinnigan, Akira Isogawa, Easton Pearson, and Leona Edmiston.
