There is no shortage of designer timepieces available to Australian watch aficionados.  Every major fashion label and Swiss luxury brand from Chanel to Chopard is represented down-under.  In the past, however, Australians have not had a luxury watch brand that they can call their own – but they do now.

The brainchild of Swiss expat Christophe Hoppé, BAUSELE (Beyond AUStralian ELEment) is the first Swiss made watch created specifically for the Australian market.  Each beautifully crafted, Australian designed timepiece pays tribute to the Australian lifestyle: yachting, surfing, partying.

Having worked in the Swiss watch industry for ten years before moving to Australia, Christophe had the knowledge and expertise to fulfil his dream of developing his own watch brand.  The Australian landscape and way of life gave Christophe the inspiration he needed to turn his dream into a reality.

The BAUSELE concept is unique as each watch contains a physical element of Australia in the crown: sand, red earth and coal.  All three watch designs – Surf, Yachting and Vintage – are available with a choice of three different crowns each of which incorporates an actual specimen of one of the three different elements.  An ISA Swiss movement ensures accurate timekeeping.

Quintessentially Australian, the Surf model pays tribute to Australia's iconic sport: surfing. Elegant yet sporty, the Bausele Surf features a moon and tide function, is waterproof at 200 metres, and is the signature watch of the Bausele collection.

The Yachting model is the watch for connoisseurs and ocean lovers. Its technology includes an impressive range of functions to equip you for the challenges of the sea: countdown indicator, progress keeper and race timing functions.

A tribute to legendary Australian conviviality, the Bausele Vintage evokes that excellent moment in the day when the work ends and pleasure starts. This vintage-look timepiece, featuring a target hour of five, is a sophisticated unisex watch.
