Italian singer, songwriter, and record producer Andrea Bocelli will be performing at Hollywood Bowl this month. A football accident during his childhood left Bocelli visually impaired but his quest for new music has conquered one vision after the other. Bocelli’s accomplishments are outstanding — he has recorded 15 solo studio albums of pop and classical music, three greatest hits albums, and nine complete operas, selling over 80 million records worldwide. He has been immensely successful as a crossover performer, being a catalyst in bringing classical music to the top of international pop charts.

Andrea Bocelli was named one of People magazine’s ‘50 Most Beautiful People’ in 1998. In 1999, Bocelli earned a nomination for the Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards. His duet “The Prayer” with Celine Dion sung for the animated film “Quest for Camelot” won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song. Bocelli was featured in a listing in the Guinness Book of World Records when classical album “Sacred Arias,” was released.

For the first time in music history, the artist simultaneously held the top three positions on the US Classical Albums charts.

Ana Maria Martinez , the Puerto Rican soprano who regularly performs with Bocelli, had said, "More than anything, Andrea has something that is unique in that he brings this light that is always around him. And this purity of heart and beauty of sound just touches the listener. It can’t be described.”

While introducing Andrea Bocelli during her Christmas Special in 1998 for “These Are Special Times,” Dion said about Bocelli that “if God would have a singing voice, he must sound a lot like Andrea Bocelli.” Producer David Foster often describes Bocelli’s voice as the most beautiful in the world. Jazz singer, Al Jarreau, who performed with Bocelli on the “Night of the Proms” tour in Europe in 1995, described him as “the most beautiful voice in the world.”

Oprah Winfrey had once commented on her talk show that, “when I hear Andrea sing, I burst into tears.” After attending Bocelli's concert at the Hollywood Bowl in 2009, British-American actress Elizabeth Taylor said, “My mind, my soul were transported by his beauty, his voice, his inner being. God has kissed this man and I thank God for it.”

The concert is on June 20, 2018, at Hollywood Bowl, 2301 N Highland Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90068, USA.
