This June, Liam Payne takes centerstage at New York’s iconic Beacon Theatre in a special show for Chase cardholders. Officially titled “Chase Summer Soundtrack with Liam Payne,” the concert is free for Chase customers.

In the past, Liam Payne has made several NYC appearances both solo and as part of One Direction, with whom he performed at the venue in 2012. Recently, the 24-year-old revealed that his debut solo album is on the way this fall. As The Beacon Theatre has a seating capacity of 2,800, tickets for the “Chase Summer Soundtrack with Liam Payne” event are limited.

Born in 1993, Liam James Payne is an English singer and songwriter. Payne first rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction. His debut as a singer came when he auditioned for the British television series “The X Factor” in 2008. To his dismay, he was eliminated as a solo performer but he auditioned again in 2010 and this time was put into a group with four other contestants who together went on to form One Direction. To date, One Direction has released five commercially successful albums along with performing on four worldwide tours, winning multiple awards. Payne has collaborated with other producers under the monikers “Big Payno” and “Payno” creating remixes for his band’s songs and singer Cheryl.

Payne signed a recording deal with Capitol Records in 2016 as a solo artist. In May 2017, he released “Strip That Down” as the lead single from his upcoming debut album. It fared as number three on the UK Singles Chart and number 10 on the US Billboard Hot 100, earning platinum certification in both countries.

Payne was just 14 years old when he first auditioned for the “The X Factor” in 2008.

He had moved past the first round after performing Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me to the Moon.” As luck would have it, Payne was subsequently eliminated at the Boot Camp stage, but judge Simon Cowell had a change of mind and asked Payne to be back for the judges’ houses stage. Once again, Payne was cut during judges’ houses, but Cowell encouraged the young singer to “come back in two years.” He returned to the show in 2010 for the seventh series. He auditioned with the Michael Buble version of “Cry Me a River,” earning him four yeses and a standing ovation from Cowell. Not the one to look back from there, Payne was considered the second favourite to win the competition after his solo audition.

The concert is on June 20, 2018, at Beacon Theatre, 2124 Broadway, New York, NY 10023, USA.
