Laughter is her forte and performance her fuel. Heather Ann McDonald is an American actress, comedian and author. Born and educated in Southern California, Heather is best known for her appearances on the E! series Chelsea Lately. She also happened to be one of the eight writers on the show and would often participate in sketches and segments. An accomplished writer, Heather’s first book, a 2010 memoir of her college years, made it to the Bestseller List of the New York Times.
Heather was born in 1970 in San Fernando Valley; both her mother and father were real estate agents. She is three quarters Irish and one quarter French-Canadian and along with her brother and sister was raised as Catholic and attended private, Catholic schools. After high school, Heather went to the University of Southern California where she was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority. After graduation, she began taking theatre classes at The Groundlings. During her stint there, Heather performed improvisational shows and sketch comedy skits. Around the same time, she also became a licensed realtor like her parents.
Today, Heather McDonald is one of the most in-demand and versatile comedians, who well juxtaposes a career as a nationally touring stand-up, actress, and a skillful writer. She is also a devoted wife and mother when she isn’t being driven up the wall by the rest of her family.
Heather can be heard weekly on her sensational new podcast called "Juicy Scoop" on PodcastOne. Presented every week, Heather is at her humorous best as she unleashes it all and gets the most surprising, scandalous, and intimate scoops from her celebrity guests. Heather has developed her own quintessential hilarious way of presenting celebrity gossip, turning herself into a tabloid detective. Incase she can't find the truth she will make it up herself. As a stand-up comedian, Heather McDonald continues to entertain her enthusiastic fans all over the country. Her brand of comedy has suited the tastes of the urban viewer. Heather was the one to open for all 4 of Chelsea Handler's sold out tours throughout the country from Carnegie Hall to Arenas packed with upto 10,000 people.
