Arkup, the inventor of the first mobile self-elevating "livable yacht" was recently announced as the winner of the “FACC Innovation Awards 2018” in the Art de Vivre category through an official release.
The award is organized by the French-American Chamber of Commerce (FACC) Florida in partnership with the French Foreign Trade Advisors (CCEF Floride Caraibes) for French-American companies based in Florida. "This is a great recognition of our engineering work and vision for innovative sustainable living on water," said Arnaud Luguet, co-founder of Arkup.
“Arkup is first to market with its disruptive ‘aI la carte’ product for upscale buyers bringing major innovations to a simple concept making this off-grid “Livable Yacht” a one-of-a-kind vessel to be enjoyed 365 days a year. Plans for expansion include new designs for its 2020 collection release, and international development efforts,” says the release.
"This award voted by business savvy and expert jury members is certainly a major step for ARKUP in its development of a disruptive carbon neutral and hurricane resistant product, primarily aimed for people living in Florida and the Caribbean," said Nicolas Derouin, co-founder of Arkup, at the FACC Florida Gala held in Miami on May 24, 2018.
The FACC Florida is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to foster business relationships between France and the United States as well as to serve the ongoing business needs of corporate and individual members throughout South Florida area.
