1800 Tequila collaborated with New York-based Shantell Martin for their ninth edition of The Essential 1800 Artists Series.

The tequila brand has released six original bottle designs each bearing Martin’s signature black and white drawings. 1800 Tequila has been collaborating with artists through its annual Essential Artists series to create extraordinary bottle art for its 1800 Silver since 2008 and has till date has collaborated with Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Enoc Perez and more, with Martin being the ninth artist to be featured in the special-limited edition series. The limited edition bottles are named as The Future, Reach Higher, Be Honest, Yes to Yes, Who Are You, and See Can See. These limited-edition bottles, filled with 1800® Silver Tequila, become instant collectors’ items.

Shantell Martin is best known for breaking the boundaries of art and displaying her work on unexpected and realistic canvases. From sneakers to walls to clothing, Shantell now adds her one-of-a-kind designs to the iconic 1800 Tequila pyramid shaped bottle. In addition, her work values are similar to 1800 Tequila – hard work, passion and honesty and what it means to stay true to oneself without losing one’s identity.

1800 Tequila releases a new Essential 1800 Artists Series each year to create new cultural conversations by working alongside multi-faceted artists who value passion, hard work and honesty – words written on the crest of each and every 1800 Tequila bottle. Each series serve as a collector’s item as each of the artists selected for past series have been recognized for being influential and inventive within their respective artistic genres. These limited edition bottles house 1800 Silver Tequila. Made from 100% blue agave, the liquid is double distilled and is a special selection of white tequilas blended for added complexity and character. The result is a premium tequila with a smoother, more interesting flavor.

Shantell Martin is a British visual artist best known for her stream-of-consciousness drawings and light projections. Martin lives and works in New York, although engages on commercial, private and public projects internationally.
