Christie’s Hong Kong spring magnificent jewels auction is set to be held on May 29, 2018 with the highlight being a necklace from Moussaieff featuring a flawless 8.01-carat fancy vivid blue IF diamond (estimate HK$145 million - $195 million, US$18.5 million - $25 million).
“Designed by Moussaieff, the pear-shaped stone hangs below a circular-cut, 1.60-carat, fancy intense pink diamond. A 0.35-carat white diamond is set between the two,” stated the auction house.
Other noteworthy lots include two beautiful fei cui bead necklaces, one with 69 beads of 8.2-10.8mm and the other with 63 lavender fei cui beads of 8.6-11.1mm, with a pre-sale estimate of HK$30 million - $50 million and HK$25 million – $35 million respectively. An oval-shaped, 12.85-carat, fancy intense orange-pink, VVS1 diamond ring, surrounded by a double layer of half-moon and triangular-shaped white diamonds, with a pre-sale estimate of $5.7 million to $8.3 million is also among the highlighted items.
The auction house also features a stunning bracelet pair with diamonds in rare colors including blue, green, and violet with highly sought-after natural pearls designed by renowned jewelry designer Edmond Chin for Boghossian with a pre-sale estimate of HK$16 million - $25 million. According to the auction house, a pair of 7.46 carats and 6.81 carats Brazilian Paraiba tourmaline ear pendants is estimated to fetch HK$12.8 million - $18 million.
Christie’s Hong Kong Spring Sale will also feature a jadeite bead and diamond necklace as well as a lavender jadeite bead necklace, and an exclusive colored diamond bracelet created by Edmond Chin for the House of Boghossian.
Christie’s Hong Kong Magnificent Jewels will be a live auction on May 29, 2018 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
