Ancient scents that were used in Sicily and Italy have been recreated in the Velvet Collection from Dolce & Gabbana with the aid of cutting edge perfume making techniques. The resultant fragrances in the collection are a blend of traditional and modern, and perfectly exemplify the allure that Dolce & Gabbana is famous for.

Among the new additions to the Velvet Collection of perfumes from Dolce & Gabbana is Velvet Incenso, which as its name suggests is inspired by incense. The opening note of the fragrance is focused on elemi essence that is characterized by a citrus facet and set off by black pepper. A powerful mix of Oriental and Mediterranean, the fragrance draws from Sicilian resins while patchouli essence makes up the trailing notes.

The other new entrant in the lineup is Velvet Amber Sun that has a rich woodsy overtone derived from the Arabic heritage that is prominent in the Sicily area. Ylang-ylang is the power behind the fragrance while the middle notes derived from sandalwood provide a sweet glow. Velvet Amber Skin, the other new fragrance is an eloquent blend of floral scents centered on the iris with amber derived notes.
