Art New York, presented by Art Miami, returns to Pier 94 May 3-6 as a highlight of New York Art Week. The fair offers paintings, photography, prints, drawings, design, and sculpture by artists belonging to the Contemporary, Modern, post-war, and Pop eras. The fair includes a lineup of 75 international, Contemporary, and Modern galleries from 30 countries presenting a lineup of more than 1,200 artists. In addition, this year’s CONTEXT section brings together works by emerging, mid-career, and cutting-edge artists by new and established contemporary galleries. The fair provides a carefully-curated, rich-in-content presentation of the best that the global art market has to offer to established and budding art collectors.
This year the fair begins with a VIP Preview benefitting the Joe Namath Foundation and the Hope for Depression Research Foundation on May 3. The site has now become a significant exhibition facility for the arts in the area and annually attracts more than 150,000 art connoisseurs and collectors from around the world. Art New York occupies more than 170,000 square feet, and is set against the backdrop of the Hudson River.
