Hyundai’s luxury automotive arm Genesis has been capturing the headlines with vehicles from its stable that include the Essentia and the 2019 G70. Among the many new vehicles showcased during the 2018 New York International Auto Show, the Genesis Essentia Concept stole the limelight with its stunning design and clearly over shadowed competitors.

At the ongoing New York Auto Show, the company’s electrical concept car — the Genesis Essentia — was labeled as the “car of the future.” It comes with several state-of-the-art features including the ability to recognize the driver when they walk up to it, thanks to fingerprint and facial recognition. As for its design, the Essentia coupe has an overwhelmingly “Athletic” element to it and while it is never going to be released in the market, it is clear that Genesis is planning to use features from it in upcoming models which the company plans to roll out in the future.

The other offering from the luxury brand is the 2019 Genesis G70 sedan and it marked its arrival in the market in the United States. It will be competing against others in the space namely the BMW 3-Series and follows up the G80 and G90 version that Genesis already has. When released in the United States, the G70 will be offered in five trim packages, a choice of two engines, and three powertrain configurations.
