With the 2018 New York International Auto Show underway, new cars and SUVs have been drawing attention and thrown in with these are concept models such as the Genesis Essentia. The auto show, which extends through April 8, 2018, has also seen luxury offerings such as the Lincoln Aviator SUV making a splash, along with high performance models from Porsche.
New vehicle debuts during auto shows add zest to the proceedings and leading the charge at the 2018 New York International Auto Show is the Lincoln Aviator SUV in the luxury segment. Ford, the owner of the luxury Lincoln brand, has outfitted the SUV with the ability to be turned on via smartphone that is equipped with a virtual key. It also has advanced features that can detect the presence of pedestrians, emergency braking and is also a plug-in hybrid offering.
When it comes to style the Genesis Essentia concept from Hyundai, it is already being touted as a winner. A luxury offering the electric car has a unique hood that is transparent, and has a striking copper color that makes the wheels pop. The Genesis Essentia is never going to hit the production lines but many of its elements will find its way to the coupe planned for the next decade. Finally, delivering great performance is the Porsche 911 GT3 RS that comes with a Weissach package that reduces it weight.
