Zaha Hadid Design’s 2018 collection was recently on view at Maison et Objet. The new collection — defined by fluid lines and subtle, organic geometries — pays tribute to Zaha Hadid’s commitment to innovate with a diversity of materials, be it traditional or contemporary. Each piece is inspired and informed by Hadid’s renowned architectural repertoire.

Zaha Hadid is considered a pioneering visionary of the 21st century who redefined architecture and design with her bold imagination. The architect-designer collaborated with iconic brands from across the globe to create exquisite limited-edition pieces. Her works are part of prestigious museum collections and have been featured in retrospective exhibitions across the world. During a retrospective exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum, New York, Hadid had stated: “My product designs and architecture have always been connected; some of our earliest projects were designs for products and interiors. These design pieces are very important to me and my team. They inspire our creativity by providing an opportunity to express our ideas through different scales and through different media; an essential part of our on-going design investigation.”

In the 2018 collection, Zaha Hadid Design reinterprets the relationships inherent throughout Hadid’s architecture.
