Day-to-day existence: myriad small routines, repeated again and again, unnoted. Beginning with toilet and toothbrush rituals in the morning and ending with practised preparations for sleep, we move steadily through our linear day. But what becomes of these rituals when we take a closer look at them? In WE, MADE OF GLASS composer Yasutaki Inamori underscores and distorts them using a palette of auditory hues. The everyday activities of a motley group of people are placed under a magnifying glass. We follow six city dwellers around for a week, watching the details of their daily routine, a routine that, through being observed and amplified, alters, falters, loses its rhythm - yet is not permitted to lose its rhythm.
